Salim Khan Recalls Meeting Wife Salma’s Parents For The FIRST Time; Tells Arbaaz Khan, ‘Sab Mujhe Dekhne Aaye, Jaise Zoo Mein Naya Janwar Aaya Ho’
From meeting his first wife Salma Khan to getting together with Helen, Salim Khan recalls his life’s journey on Arbaaz Khan’s new chat show The Invincibles
Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan is all set to bring the audiences a glimpse of the lives lived by veteran actors through his new chat show The Invincibles. In the recent promo release by the makers of the show, he was seen questioning his father Salim Khan, his first guest on the show, about his affair with Helen in the 1980s, how he survived through that phase as he was out of work at that time and his love story with his first wife.
The promo starts with Arbaaz recalling his accident and asking his father details about his romance with the veteran dancer in the 1980s. He goes on to point out that at the time, not only was Salim out of work, but his relationship with Helen wasn’t accepted by anyone. He is heard saying, “Us time pe jab aapka split hua mujhe yaad hai mera bhi accident hua tha. Us waqt aapka shayad romance bhi Helen aunty ke sath shuru ho gaya tha ya acceptability ka issue tha or fir apke pass kam nahi us time par. He goes on to talk about the veteran’s love story with his mother Sushila Charak (now known as Salma Khan). Recalling how they used to meet and secret, Khan revealed that when he met her parents, everyone came to see him like her was some new animal at the zoo. He recalled, “Chup chup ke milte the hum, maine kaha ki nahi I would like to meet your parents. Jab mein gaya, sab mereko dekhne ke liye aaye the jaise koi zoo mein naya janwar aaya hai toh dekhne chalte hai.”
Apart from Salim Khan, Arbaaz is seen interviewing his stepmother Helen and other veterans like Javed Akhtar, Shatrughan Sinha and Waheeda Rehman. The show certainly promises a look into the world of veteran celebrities, who have been away from the limelight for quite some time now.
For the unversed, Helen is renowned filmmaker Salim Khan’s second wife. He was married to Sushila Charak (now known as Salma Khan) for over two decades before his second marriage. They have four kids together - Salman Khan, Arbaaz, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Sohail Khan. Helen and Salim adopted Arpita Khan Sharma, who is a proud mother to two kids with actor Ayush Sharma.
On the work front, Arbaaz Khan made his OTT debut with Sudhir Mishra's Tanaav. The web series has been streaming on SonyLIV since November 11. The show also stars Rajat Kapoor, Satyadeep Mishra, Shashank Arora, Sumit Kaul, and more in pivotal roles.
